A few weeks into term and teachers' voices begin to feel the wear and tear. That is why it is so important to have some voice training and why Sounds Right was particularly pleased to respond to a request for a workshop by Moat Community College, Leicester.

Voice Specialist Jenny Dunbar delivered the training to members of staff who enthusiastically  took part in exercises to familiarize themselves with how to make more of their voice and avoid damage and loss.     The points covered were particularly helpful to teachers new to the profession and the training was very positively received.

"It was good to have a high level of interest and active response at the end of the teaching day "said Jenny, who regularly works with voice clients throughout the uk.

The introductory workshop left teachers wanting more of this type of training and "a  longer session, please".  Teachers  attending found the practical advice and tips and invaluable. One NQT was particularly pleased to learn how to use the voice in a variety of classroom situations and commented "Now I feel I can calm down a difficult group without shouting!"

Sounds Right continues to help preserve voices in the teaching profession and has a selection of workshops to suit every budget and timetable. Contact us to help save and make the most of your teaching voice.

" The voice can reflect what is going on physically and emotionally and so understanding and training can really help the professional voice user. "
